LIFE IN THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

Spring of 91 we moved from Atlanta to San Jose at the southern end of the San Francisco Bay. Later we moved to Mt. View about midway between San Francisco and San Jose.

I think for the first year we were still just tourist, we went all over northern California. By the start of year three, The Bay Area had become home. We made many friends, which we still have today. The One Market link to the right is the core group. We still get together once a year.

I went to work at a local nursery in Los Altos, continuing the same vocation I had done for years in Atlanta. We were both in gardening paradise, as you can grow just about anything in the Bay Area, really! There is a reason the cost of living is so high in California, it's a great place to live. The best food, produce, ethnic restaurants, diverse people, landscapes, oh yeah and weather anywhere.

Our life here in The Bay Area exposed us to so many People their heartage, historys, cultures from around the world. People from all income levels, from Mexican imagrints too the wealthy from all over the world who were able to afford all California has to offer. Must say the people here who were the most clue less about what was around them were the old money, Americans with hign levels of education. Dispite their good fortune they acted like........ well big babys, don't know how else to put it. They wanted it all and were not going to pay a lot for it.

Photo of our small duplex in Mountain View California. At the time we never wanted to ever think about leaving what had become our home (California not the Duplex).
