Xena is our pound dog. She is about three years, but acts like she's one. While Scooby sits on the porch guarding the house. Xena is underneath the porch lying in the dirt ready to attack anyone that comes by the house.

We found her at a small rescue house in Illinois. God bless the dogs that lose their families for what ever reason. She had been at the rescue house for about three days when we saw her. Very malnourished and under weight from untreated worms, you could see her spine and rib cage. She still was spunky and most important Scooby liked her. Although the rescue house offered to pay for the medical bills for Xena to cure the worms and have her spay, we took this cost on our­selves to help those who do so much to help home­less animals.

It must have been a tough life for Xena as this is a very pushy bitch! While well behaved, if she wants something she will not give up. Right up in your face letting you know just want she wants. She is my (Paul) dog and is by my side almost all the time. Like Scooby she is joy.
